Cortos, Talleres y seguimos...

La semana pasada acabo el Taller de Cinematografía, durante 3 meses han participado en la Preproducción y producción del largometraje que hemos rodado en afilm. En este tiempo, hicieron practicas con Red One, un spot de 35mm, pudieron probar la nueva cámara de Panasonic en 3D, visitaron Apuntolapospo, Service Vision, etc… Además de irse con una gran experiencia en rodaje y la oportunidad de trabajar con un equipo profesional. Desde aquí les deseamos buena suerte y ojala podamos encontrarnos en otros rodajes!!

Seguimos rodando, tenemos dos nuevos proyectos ya rodados “Peculiar Mr.Earl” la fabulosa historia de un hombre desesperado que hace un trato con un personaje diabolico, para volver a recuperar a su mujer y “Lola K”, una actriz es secuestrada por un grupo de criticos junkies de adrenalina y que solo se podrá salvar si mantiene su integridad.  Unos trabajos que estamos seguros que asombraran.

Y ahora que llega el verano, en afilm estamos preparando muchos talleres y muy interesantes, para empezar, “Taller de guión para realizar un largometraje de Terror”, durante ocho sábados. El siguiente será “Taller de Dirección con Mark W. Travis” el año pasado estuvo con nosotros con otro taller  y queremos volver a repetir esta experiencia y dar la oportunidad a todo el mundo de poder asistir.

Last week, the 3 month Cinematography Master Workshop, which for the past 3 months participated in the Preproduction and the Production of the afilm feature film, drew to a close. During this time, they worked with the Red One, shot a 35mm commercial, tested the new Panasonic 3D camera, they visited Apuntolapospo, Service Vision, etc…  Aside from having gained terrific on-set experience, and having had the opportunity to work with a professional crew. From here, we wish them all the very best and hopefully our paths will cross on another shoot!

We're still shooting, we've just finished shooting two new projects, "Peculiar Mr.Earl”, a fantastic tale about a desperate man who makes a deal with a devil-like character to bring his wife back, and "Lola K", a story about an actress kidnapped by a group of adrenaline-addicted critics, who will only be able to survive if she holds on to her integrity.  Two films we are certain will impress.

And now that the summer is almost here, at afilm, we are preparing lots of  interesting workshops- to begin,  the "TERROR FEATURE FILM SCREENWRITING workshop", which will be held on 8 consecutive Saturdays.  The next one is MARK W TRAVIS' DIRECTING WORKSHOP- THE DIRECTOR'S JOURNEY, Mark came to visit us last year with a different workshop and we'd like to welcome him back, and offer everyone the chance to get to participate.

Postproducción!!!!

Estamos en pleno proceso de edición, ahora nos quedan unas duras semanas de postproducción. En breve ya tendremos un primer montaje, y a partir de aquí, empezaremos a darle forma a la película, a trabajar el audio, el color, el ritmo, etc.. que increíble sensación, ver como poco a poco, estas materializando algo que llevas prácticamente un año trabajando.

Los alumnos de iniciación al proceso cinematográfico, ya están rodando sus cortos, donde podemos ver claramente una evolución desde sus primeros trabajos, en estos proyectos se notan reflejados los conocimientos adquiridos a lo largo del año. La semana pasada, Allan, rodó una historia muy singular, ¿que pasaría, si un persona sacara el monstruo que lleva dentro? ¿cambiarían mucho las cosas? Pronto lo veréis!!!

En afilm, nos cuesta mucho estar quietos, por eso en pleno proceso de montaje, de preproducción de proyectos, etc.. nos fuimos de visita (realmente fue trabajo!!), a una empresa maravillosa y líder del sector como es “Apuntolapospo”, aprovechando que teníamos que realizar el color grading (tratamiento digital no lineal del color) del spot que rodaron en 35mm los alumnos del taller de cinematografía, Bernat Aragones, nos realizo un tour, algo que desde aquí le agradecemos y donde pudimos disfrutar de la visita y sus instalaciones.

We're fully immersed in the editing process, we have a week tough weeks of postproduction ahead of us.  Soon we'll have a rough cut completed,  and from here, the film will slowly be sculpted, we'll craft the audio, the color grading, the rhythm, etc.  What an incredible sensation, to see how, little by little, what we've been working on for the past year, slowly comes to life.  

Students of the Introduction to Filmmaking program are already shooting their final short films, and we can clearly see an evolution in their work, of the knowledge they have acquired.  Last week, Allan shot a very singular story, "What would happen, if someone let the monster inside, out? Would things change much?"  Soon you will see!!!

At afilm, it's very tough for us to keep still, that's why, in the middle of the postproduction process, of the preproduction of the short films, etc. we went on a field trip to a wonderful postproduction house, "Apuntolapospo", leader in its field,  where we color graded (non- linear digital color treatment) the 35mm ad we shot with students of the Cinematography Workshop. Bernat Aragones, who guided us on our tour, merits our thanks, for his time and input, as well as Apuntolapospo.

Empezamos la edición de "Checkout"

Acabó el rodaje, pero en afilm nunca paramos, esta semana hemos empezado con el montaje del largometraje y avisamos que nos están dejando con unas primeras impresiones muy buenas, esto promete!!!

Los chicos de iniciación al proceso cinematográfico, ya están preparando su próximo proyecto, rodarán un cortometraje y esta semana, ya rodamos el primero, iremos hablando de todos los proyectos y mostraremos algunas imágenes.

Todavía nos quedaba por agradecer la ayuda que nos prestaron Sitges Film Office y al cementerio de Sitges, que nos permitieron rodar una escena, en ese lugar realmente espectacular. Desde aquí agradecerles de nuevo todo su apoyo.

The film shoot is over, but at afilm we never stop, this week we've begun editing the feature film, and we're warning you, the first impressions are very positive, this has promise!!

The Introduction to Filmmaking students are already preparing their next project, they'll shoot a short film, and this week, once the first of these projects are shot, we'll tell you about their projects and share some images with you.

We would still like to thank the Sitges Film Office, and the Sitges Cemetery, who allowed us to shoot a scene at their truly spectacular location.  From here, we would like to thank them again for their support.

Rodaje Finalizado

Increíble!! No podemos definirlo de otra manera, hemos tenido un rodaje maravilloso, donde todo el mundo a trabajado muy duro y sobretodo en equipo y estamos seguros que eso se vera reflejado en la película, ya que nos ha dejado muy buenas sensaciones.

Desde aquí queremos agradecer, a los actores por su trabajo e implicación en el proyecto. A todas esas personas que nos han ayudado, ya sea cediendonos una parte de su hotel, una cocina de un colegio, etc. Gracias por dejar cumplir nuestro sueño. Muchas gracias!!

Incredible!  We can't express it any other way, we've had a wonderful shoot, where everyone worked very hard, as a united crew, and we're certain this will be reflected in the film, as it's left us with so many good feelings.

From here, we'd like to thank the actors for their work and dedication to the project.  Also, to all those people who have helped us out, be it allowing us to shoot at their hotel, a kitchen at a school, etc.  Thanks for letting us make our dream come true!  Thank you very much!

Comenzamos última semana de rodaje!!

Nos encontramos delante de nuestra ultima semana de rodaje, y la verdad, es que no podríamos estar mas contentos. Nuestro equipo esta funcionando de maravilla, los actores están haciendo un trabajo magnífico y hemos tenido unas localizaciones fantásticas.

We've reached the final week of our shoot, and the truth be told, we could not be happier.  Our crew is working wonderfully, the actors are doing a magnificent job, and we've had fantastic locations.

Tercera Semana de Rodaje

Ya estamos en el ecuador del rodaje y nos encontramos en una nueva localización el I.E.S Joan Ramon Benaprès. Donde estamos rodando unas escenas en una espectacular cocina y no podíamos haber encontrado un lugar mejor.

We´re at the shoot´s equator, and we find ourselves at a new location, at the I.E.S. Joan Ramon Benaprès.  Where we´re shooting some scenes in one of their spectacular kitchens, and we could not have found a better place.
