Tercera Semana de Rodaje

Empezamos la ultima semana de rodaje!! Atrás ya quedan muchas escenas, planos, localizaciones, etc.. esta semana hemos estado en un lugar increíble, el Teatro Prado de Sitges, un sitio maravilloso, donde hemos disfrutado mucho y donde se han realizado algunas de las escenas más complicadas y emotivas de la película, y para acabar la semana rodamos en exteriores, aunque podríamos llamarlo el día de la steadicam, ya que tuvimos a Juan corriendo de un lado para otro con persecuciones de los personajes. Están siendo unas semanas muy duras de intensidad y trabajo, pero estamos seguros que lo veremos recompensado cuando veamos la película!!

A lo largo de este proyecto, estamos teniendo colaboradores que nos están ayudando y haciendo las cosas más fáciles,  hoy queremos destacar a Julio Lazo, nuestro maquillador y peluquero, que esta haciendo un trabajo excelente y contagia a la gente con su simpatía y carisma. Y esta semana que hemos estado en el Teatro Prado nos ayudo con las luces Joan Pros, entregado profesional y un mago con las luces ( www.linesound.webs.com ), desde aquí agradecerles su implicación y su trabajo, muchas gracias!!

We're starting our final week of shooting!  We leave behind many scenes we've already shot, many locations, shots, etc...  this week we've shot at a fantastic place, the Casino El Prado Theater in Sitges, we've had a really good experience there, shooting some of the film's most complex and emotional scenes, to finish off the week, we've shot some exteriors, though we could also call it Steadicam days, as Juan spent most of the day running around chasing the characters.  They've been intense, tough weeks, but we're certain it will have all been worth while when we  see the film!!!

Throughout the project, we've had many collaborators who have helped us, making our life than much easier, today we would like to thank Julio Lazo, our Head of Make Up and Hair, he's doing an excellent job, his carismatic, kind attitude is contagious.  Also, this week we've had Joan Pros giving us a hand at the lighting board in the El Prado Theater, he's a true professional and a whiz at the controls  ( www.linesound.webs.com ),from here, we'd like to thank them for their dedication and hard work!

Primera Semana de Rodaje

Primera semana!! Nos da una inmensa alegría cuando empieza el rodaje y descubres que todo lo que has estado preparando encaja, funciona, los actores y las localizaciones escogidas son las adecuadas y cobran vida tal y como lo habías imaginado, el equipo trabaja mucho y rápido y al acabar la jornada te vas a casa satisfecho, que más podemos pedir, que las próximas semanas siga igual y porque no, incluso superarlo!!

Estos primeros días hemos rodado en exteriores, interiores y como no, en una de nuestras localizaciones favoritas, el Hotel Romantic, que podemos decir de ellos, que prácticamente son parte de la familia de afilm, nos ayudan, nos apoyan y  siempre están cuando los necesitamos, desde aquí agradecer a todo el personal por el trato que recibimos de ellos. Gracias!!

Y seguimos presentando a nuestros colaboradores, Marcel una persona maravillosa y maravilloso artista que nos esta ayudando en la parte de arte de nuestra película.

Week One!!  Beginning to shoot our feature film gives us great joy, as we discover how everything we have been preparing starts to click into place and works, the actors and locations selected are proving to be just right, as they come to life just as we had imagined, the crew is working very hard, and quickly, and at the end of the shooting day, we go home with a feeling of satisfaction, what more could we ask for, that the next few weeks bring more of the same, and, why not?, we may even try to do better!

These first few days we've shot exteriors, some interiors and of course, at one of our favorite locations, the Hotel Romantic, what can we say about them?, from here we would all like to once again thank the entire staff, they are part of the afilm family, they help, support us, and are always there for us whenever we need them- thanks!!

And we'll continue presenting our collaborators, Marcel, a wonderful person and amazing artist who is really helping us create the film's art work.

EMPEZAMOS EL RODAJE!!

Llego el día!! Mañana empieza el rodaje, nervios de ultima hora, hacer un repaso mental por si nos falta alguna cosa, pero sobretodo ilusión, mucha ilusión por este momento!! Ha costado mucho trabajo llegar hasta aquí, pero siempre hemos seguido avanzando y estamos muy contentos con el resultado. Seguro que será un rodaje espectacular y queremos animar a todo el equipo a disfrutarlo!!

Pero antes del gran día, hay que hacer los deberes, esta semana se ha realizado la lectura de guión con todo el equipo, continuamos ensayando con los actores, e incluso hemos encontrado nuevos colaboradores, como Juana Palacios un salón de belleza de Sitges que trabaja con los mejores productos naturales del mercado para el cabello y que nos ayudado en la caracterización del personaje de Gabriella.

Durante este mes, podréis seguir la evolución del rodaje en nuestra pagina Facebook, Twitter y como no, el blog donde intentaremos actualizar una par de veces por semana, con fotos, con entrevistas, etc…

The day has finally arrived!!!  Tomorrow, the shoot begins, last minute nerves, mentally reviewing everything in case we've overlooked something, but full of excitement, lots of excitement about this moment!  It's been a huge amount of work making it to this point, but we've always pushed on ahead, and we're very happy with the result.  We're certain it will be a spectacular shoot and we want to encourage the entire cast and crew to enjoy it!  

But before the big day, we've had to do our homework, this week we've had the cast and crew reading of the script and we've even found new collaborators including Juana Palacio's beauty salon in Sitges, who works with the best natural hair products on the market and has helped us transform Gabriela's character.

During this month, you can follow the shoot's evolution on Facebook, Twitter and of course, our blog which we'll try to update twice a week with photos, interviews, etc...

Masterclass con Javier Ortega

Esta semana nos ha visitado Javier Ortega (Ingeniero de Sonido, Diseñador de Sonido, Compositor) y nos ha dado una autentica Masterclass de Sonido Directo, donde ha profundizado tanto en clases teóricas como practicas, algo que nos vendrá genial para los rodajes de nuestros proyectos.

El curso de Actor’s Studio de Amy, no tiene descanso, después de simulacros de casting, clases, ejercicios, etc.. esta semana han realizado ejercicios con cámara, los cuales están muy bien y editaremos para sus showreels.

Juan Fernández, profesor de afilm, ha realizado un spot para el Puerto de Sitges y se ha llevado al rodaje dos alumnos de iniciación al proceso cinematográfico, este tipo de practicas supone un verdadero lujo para los estudiantes, que les acerca a la manera de trabajar de esta profesión, algo que siempre buscamos en afilm.

Queda muy poco para el rodaje y esta semana en afilm se ha podido ver un simulacro de rodaje, actrices aprendiendo pasos de ballet, últimos retoques con el movie magic, ensayos, storyboards…. Que ganas tenemos de rodar!!!

Javier Ortega (Sound Engineer, Sound Designer, Compose) has visited us this week, and shared with us a genuine masterclass on  Production Sound, guiding us through shoot simulations as well as theoretical classes, just in time for our upcoming shoots.

The afilm Actor's Studio with Amy Blaise rarely takes a break, after casting exercises, classes and such, this week they've shot several scenes on camera, which turned out quite well, and will now form part of their showreels.  

Juan Fernández, afilm Instructor, has shot an ad for the Port of Sitges, and he's taken several afilm Introduction to Filmmaking students with him on location to crew.   These shoots are a real luxury for students as they gain experience on a professional set, an important part of the afilm philosophy.

There's so little time left for the feature shoot, this week we've created a shoot simulation, actresses have trained for ballet scenes, final EP Movie Magic Scheduling updates, rehearsals, storyboards... We can't wait to shoot!
